First question: Did they immigrate legally and obtain work visas? If not, and you support them coming to the US to work, you are contributing to the near slave labor in the agricultural and construction industries. Illegal immigrants will accept lower wages and will not fight for overtime wages owed them because of a fear of being arrested and deported. Both those on the political Left and Right exploit them for their value versus cost. Furthermore, if it is possible to hire illegals at half to one third the price of American workers who would be paid minimum wage and be paid for overtime hours, then bringing them in is selfish, greedy, and intentionally damaging to the US economy.
The Left approves of illegal immigration because it benefits their social and political causes. The Right refuses to do anything real about curbing illegal immigration because illegals provide cheaper labor to produce goods and services.
Face it, neither the Left nor the Right care about individuals (except themselves) or the United States as a whole. If they did, illegal immigration would be addressed so as to protect the rights of American workers as well as the human rights of those wishing for a better life on this side of the border.
